2 Days Left :)

Only 2 days left! I'm so excited, I can't wait to get out of here. It's gonna be weird not seeing everyone, but then again it's not the end of the world! This year went by so fast, and I know this summer will too. But at the end of July I get to move into my new apartment and get all settled up in Theif River Falls. I'm so EXCITED, I can't wait!!!!!!

Careers

There is so much pressure out there right now to be able to find a job, one that you're interested in. I feel like I have a pretty good grip on what I want to do, and that is being a special education teacher. I have been exploring the idea, checking out the job criteria for it, and I have helped at events dealing with people who have special needs. I love the idea of this job and I figure this is what I am going to pursue in college. I looked at some blogs and I found a guy who teaches special education in California, his link is http://www.californiatecherguy.com.

This is what I plan on doing for my career, and hopefully in a couple of years it is still what I want to be doing. If all else fails I might explore photography or even being a social worker, but I hope the plan stays with special education teaching.

Subject for Podcast(s)

I looked over the topics for doing a podcast, and the main two I found interesting were: Is sexism real? Does it matter? and A return to stepford: Do women let themselves be treated as a lesser being? I'm thinking of finding someone to talk with who can give a real debate, someone who isn't afraid to speak their views. Hopefully it will be intersting and a lot of you like it. But until then, I'm still playing around with the ideas and hopefully soon I will get my podcast up!

My View

These are pictures of our back 40 here at my house. I love these views, it makes me feel so at ease.These images remind me of what I want in life; one day I want to live in a cabin on a lake that is surronded by forests. There will be a huge wrap-around porch and a porchswing.When I think of this I feel so peaceful and I just want to put on some sweatpants, grab a cup of coffee, then sit on my porchswing looking out at the lake while the sun sets. But until that happens, I'm stuck looking at these images, but someday, hopefully I won't!
