There is so much pressure out there right now to be able to find a job, one that you're interested in. I feel like I have a pretty good grip on what I want to do, and that is being a special education teacher. I have been exploring the idea, checking out the job criteria for it, and I have helped at events dealing with people who have special needs. I love the idea of this job and I figure this is what I am going to pursue in college. I looked at some blogs and I found a guy who teaches special education in California, his link is http://www.californiatecherguy.com.
This is what I plan on doing for my career, and hopefully in a couple of years it is still what I want to be doing. If all else fails I might explore photography or even being a social worker, but I hope the plan stays with special education teaching.

Good luck. I taught special education for years even though I am a main stream math teacher. It was rewarding but frustrating. I only stopped because of a personality conflict with the chairman. The kids were great. I still keep in touch with some of them.
Spec Ed is a demanding but rewarding job. Don't let the world pressure you too much. Just be sure to be passionate about what you want to do!
